Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

This post brought to you by Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.

Are you doing any holiday baking yet? In case you couldn’t tell from my caramel pecan thumbprint cookies, gingerbread granola, or orange roll blossom… we are definitely in the swing of things. I like to consider the peanut butter kiss cookie a staple during the holidays. I’m not even sure when the first time I tried one was, but I remember always looking forward to placing the chocolate kiss candy onto each cookie right after my grandma pulled them out of the oven.

That was one tradition I wanted to pass onto my kids and this year I felt like Dax was finally old enough to help me out. We headed into Dollar General to pick up some supplies and then it was back to the kitchen! He was so excited to roll up his sleeves, wash his little hands, and start unwrapping each of the little chocolates. When the cookies were ready to be pulled out of the oven he rushed to his work station and prepared to take on the challenge of placing each kiss onto the center of the warm cookies.

I have to say… Watching my little guy attempt to place the candies directly into the center of each cookie was a little comical. He struggled a bit, but all in all they looked amazing. I couldn’t be prouder to have such a great helper in the kitchen.
