This 2 ingredient fudge recipe is about to save your life this holiday season.
Fudge and I have a long history of fails. I can’t tell you why, but for some reason it is one recipe I can not recreate. Luckily, I found this two ingredient version from Cookies & Cups that changed my life. A few tweaks later and I’ve got a mile long list of different fudge that not only taste great but are incredibly easy. During the busy holiday season easy is what I look for. I don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen, but I also want to make sure I have a dish that really “wow’s,” and this is it.
Let’s talk about ingredients for a second… All you really need are some chocolate chips (I went with semi sweet) and a can of frosting. Any frosting will do. I chose this Betty Crocker only because the rich and creamy title was appealing, but that doesn’t mean you have to find the same exact one. That’s the end of the list. I kid you not. Melt that chocolate, fold in the frosting, and let that fudgy goodness set in the fridge. To keep things from sticking and ensure easy removal I use the new Pompeian Olive Oil spray. Love, love, love the new spray tip that doesn’t clog.
Packaging is really where things get fun. I used a few cheap cookie cutters to cut shapes, placed some candy pieces on top, and wrapped these up in decorative bags. This is a great activity to do with the kids. My five year old loved that I let him decorate his own “cookie.”
- 12 oz chocolate chips (semi sweet or milk is fine)
- 16 oz chocolate frosting
- Line an 8x8 square pan with wax paper.
- Place the chocolate chips in a glass bowl and melt in the microwave. It normally takes me one minute, but make sure you stop and stir it every 15 seconds or so.
- Fold in the chocolate frosting. Pour into your prepared dish and refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
