Cinnamon Sugar Apple Chips

Are you ready for the most amazing, and some what healthy, snack?

If you’ve been reading One Sweet Appetite from the beginning you should remember that I have a slight love for drying fruit in the oven. Remember my dried apricots? I decided to play around with a few more of our favorite fruits, and stumbled into a recipe I just had to share.

Baked apple slices are not new to the blogging world, but are new to our home. I sliced up a few of our favorite brand and sprinkled with a little cinnamon and sugar. They made our house smell amazing while they were baking. Like apple pies without all of the hard work!

Fruity Cereal is My Weakness…

Four years ago, when I was pregnant with Dax, my diet consisted mainly of blue PowerAde, spinach salads, and fruity cereal. Those were about the only three things that my growing belly was happy with. To this day I have a weakness for any type of fruity cereal. We try not to buy it throughout the year,  which forces me to make better breakfast options for my son, but every January we give in and buy a couple boxes.

I decided to incorporate their fruity goodness into a fun version of a classic treat!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Popcorn (2 Ways)

Let’s talk neighbor gifts…

It’s that time of the year when you will most likely be in your kitchen preparing plates of goodies for all of your friends and neighbors. I wanted to make things a little different this year from my typical cookie platter, but wasn’t really sure what direction I wanted to take things.

I made mini versions of my Sweet Potato Bread, and a few different cookies, but something was still missing…

All 4 Seasons in One Place!

There were two seasons where I grew up. Summer and winter. It was the middle of the desert where everything was brown all year round. And if you think I’m kidding…. I’ll find some photos and post them sometime! Summers were a whopping 110 degrees on a good day, and winters were a bitter 20. There was no midway. I could not wait to get out of there! (Sorry mom & dad!)

Here in Utah it is quite different. The leaves slowly start to change from green to beautiful golden yellows and reds. The weather adjusts from the 80’s to mid/low 70’s. It’s so perfect! I am pretty sure that is the reason that I am obsessed with fall. Thank you Utah for giving me an appreciation of the seasons!

Today I want to share a fun ‘seasonal’ treat!
