Well… It’s here folks. This week we are all going to get cozy with our sweat pants and eat so much food that we will be rolling home. Or at least that is MY plan. But what happens when all the fun is over and you are left with piles of turkey that went uneaten??
ou’ll probably make a sandwich or two… maybe toss some in a salad to feel a little healthier after our Thanksgiving binge eating… But you can only take so much of the stuff before you start to get bored and decide to trash the rest and move on.
But WAIT!!! I have just one more recipe to toss in the mix. The good news is that it takes a whopping three minutes to make and tastes a thousand times better than that boring ol’ sandwich.
That’s right. LEFTOVER turkey cordon bleu. How can it be so easy that it takes only three minutes? Well… this is a cheaters version. I wanted to make thinks as simple (and tasty) as possible. Start with a slice of turkey. Place that onto a foil lined pan.
Layer with a slice of your favorite ham. I love a good honey ham. Make sure it’s on the ticker cut side.
Top that with a slice or two of Swiss cheese…
And broil for three to five minutes or until it is warm and gooey… a little like this:
Genius right? The addition of ham and cheese make this taste so far from your Thanksgiving meal that you will be gobbling up your leftovers! (see what I did there?? Gobbling?? Turkeys??)
What are some of your favorite leftover traditions?
- 1 slice of turkey
- 1 slice of ham
- 1-2 slices of swiss cheese
- Layer your turkey, ham, and swiss. Broil for 3 to five minutes or until heated and warm.
