Five Minute Strawberry Dessert
I almost want to say this is inspired by tiramisu, but the reality is it’s far from the coffee filled treat. One thing it does have in common is the delicate little ladyfingers. These cookie/cake bites are the perfect base to our cake, add some danish dessert with your fresh berries, and top things off with a good ol’ dollop of cool whip, and voila! Just like that you have got one perfectly sweet dessert fit to feed a crowd.
I had to ask the kid to rate it on a scale of 1-10. He gave it a solid 8, which is really saying something considering he is NOT a fan of fresh strawberries. I give it a 10. you could easily eat 1 or 2 (ok 3) servings of this delicate dish! The longer it sits in the fridge the better. The flavors seem to blend together in the most beautiful way. You will have to hold back from over indulging.
5 Minute Strawberry Dessert
- 6 oz ladyfingers, splir
- 1 packet strawberry Junket Danish Dessert
- 1-3/4 cup cold water
- 3 pints strawberries
- 1 8oz carton Cool Whip, thawed
Layer your ladyfingers in a 9x13 pan. Set aside.
In a medium pan combine the Strawberry Junket Danish Dessert with the water. Bring to a boil and cook one minute. Remove from the heat and slightly cool.
Fold in 3/4 of your strawberries.
Chill 2-3 hours.
Spread cool whip and top with remaining strawberries. Enjoy.
