It is almost summertime which means we are already gearing up to have friends and family over for some fun! Grilling, picnics, pool parties… I see a lot of good times in our future. We love having a little more freedom to be outside and enjoy the company of our loved ones. It is something we look forward to all winter long. One of our favorite things to do is create a signature cocktail for every time we gather! The first this season?
Strawberry Lemonade Margaritas Recipe
There is a secret ingredient in these margarita’s! I used mike’s Hard Lemonade for the punch of flavor and it was perfect. Right now you can pick up a party pack at your local grocer giving you so many flavor options! Mike’s Hard Lemonade is a flavored malt beverage that uses real lemons (including the zest) for great-tasting refreshment. Their 12 flavors contain 5% alcohol and are available in Original Lemonade, Black Cherry, Strawberry, Cranberry, Mango, Peach, Margarita, Raspberry, Tangerine, Watermelon, LITE Lemonade, and LITE Black Cherry.
For THIS recipe I am using mike’s Hard Strawberry Lemonade. It is delicious all on its own but adds the most incredible flavor to your margarita! Try the other flavors for even more tasty options. Check here to find a retailer near you.
Now, I don’t always greet guests at the door, but when you have a signature drink for your birthday (did I mention it’s my birthday??) you can’t help it! These are so much fun. I had each guest tip their mike’s right into the margarita base for a little extra fun! Watching everything swirl together is beautiful and great entertainment. Perfect for their mantra, “Drink on the bright side.”
Ingredients for mikes hard Lemonade Margaritas
- Quality Tequila
- Margarita Mix
- Mike’s Hard Strawberry Lemonade
- Salt (optional)
How to make Strawberry Lemonade Margaritas with mike’s Hard Lemonade:
- Line the rim of 4 glasses with salt if using.
- Crush ice in a blender or food processor by pulsing one or two times. Divide between your margarita glasses.
- Add 1.5 oz (one shot) of tequila to each glass.
- Add 3 oz (2 shots) of margarita mix and gently stir.
- Carefully tip your mike’s strawberry hard lemonade into the glass and place on the bottom.
- Alternatively, you can pour enough mike’s hard lemonade to reach the top of your glass.
- Enjoy!

- 12 oz margarita mix
- 4 Strawberry Mike's Hard Lemonade
- crushed ice
- Salt Optional
Instructions
