Homemade Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 3½ to 4 cups flour Use bread flour if you want a crispier crust and All-purpose if you are looking for a chewier consistency
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • teaspoons instant dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • cups almost hot water
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

Instructions

  • Combine 3-1/2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in the bowl of an electric mixer. Using the paddle attachment, stir the ingredients. Slowly add in the warm water and oil and mix until combined. Add remaining flour a little at a time until the dough is not sticky to the touch.
  • Switch to the dough hook and mix until smooth. Place dough in an oil greased dish, turn once, and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise until doubled in size.
  • Turn the risen dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide into two equal pieces. Let it rest for ten minutes then roll into a large circle.
  • Add you desired toppings, cook on the top rack of your oven at 425 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
