Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 large green pepper chopped
  • 1 cup beef stock or broth
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 buns or rolls
  • 4 slices cheese we like provolone or american

Instructions

  • Add the ground beef, onion, and pepper to a large skillet.
  • Cook over medium heat until the beef has browned and the pepper and onion are soft, roughly 5 to 8 minutes.
  • Drain the grease from the pan and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir in the beef stock and bring to a light simmer. Reduce heat to low and cook an additional 5-7 minutes, or until a majority of the liquid is gone.
