Instructions
Stir together 1 cup of sugar with 1/4 cup of water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sugar is dissolved, about 2 minutes.
Stir in 2/3 cup sugar, garlic chili sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, ginger, salt, and garlic powder. Return to a simmer.
Whisk both the cornstarch and rice wine vinegar in a small dish to make a thin paste. Stir into the sauce and cook 2 to 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
Toss on cooked chicken wings or serve as a quick dipping sauce.
Slow Cooker Instructions:
Rinse and chop 4 chicken breasts chicken into bite sized pieces. Place in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Stir together 1 cup of sugar with 1/4 cup of water in a medium sauce pan. Cook until the sugar is dissolved.
Stir in 2/3 cup sugar, garlic chili sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, ginger, salt, and garlic powder. Pour over your chicken and gently mix to coat.
Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours.
Stir together the cornstarch and rice wine vinegar. Mix into your chicken mixture and cook on high 20 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Oven Chicken Breast Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Slice chicken breasts in half, or into pieces. Place in a 9x13 pan.
Mix the ingredients together for the sauce. Pour over the chicken.
Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until the chicken reaches the internal temperature of 165 degrees.
