Easy Garlic Knots

These Homemade Garlic Knots are soft, fluffy, and start with a premade pizza crust! Tipped with a flavor packed garlic butter and the perfect side to any pizza or pasta recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley
  • 2-16 oz pizza dough

Instructions

  • Garlic Herb Butter
  • Start by melting the butter in a medium microwave safe dish, roughly 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Stir with a small spatula or spoon to make sure all of the butter has fully melted.
  • Add the grated parmesan, salt, garlic powder, basil and parsley. Mix well and set aside.

How to Shape Garlic Knots:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Store-Bought pizza dough is a little stiff and less pliable. Start by gently kneading and stretching the dough until it becomes easier to work with, no more than 2 minutes.
  • Cut the pizza dough into 12 equal portions.
  • Working with one at a time, roll each strip into a 6 inch rope.
  • Tie the rope into a knot and place onto a lined baking tray.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining dough.
  • Brush with the garlic butter mixture and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until they start to lightly brown on top.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately brush with remaining butter.

Here is the best way to freeze homemade garlic knots:
Shape the knots as directed in the recipe. Arrange on a lined baking sheet and freeze for 1 hour. Remove from the freezer and place in an airtight container or zip top bag. Freeze up to 3 months.When ready to bake thaw, on a baking sheet on the counter, and bake as directed.
