Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup quick cooking oats
  • 3/4 cup water or milk
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons finely shredded or diced carrot
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions

  • 1. Stir together the oats, water, carrots, cinnamon, and salt. 
  • 2. Microwave for 3 minutes. 
  • 3. Add milk, if desired, and enjoy. 

Notes

Try adding walnuts or pecans to your oatmeal for added texture and goodness.
Use a large bowl to avoid the oatmeal spilling out inside of the microwave.
