Ingredients

  • 5 cups baking mix like Bisquick, divided
  • 1 cup lemon lime soda like 7 Up
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • 2. Combine the 4-1/2 cups of the baking mix, soda, and sour cream in a large mixing bowl. Use a whisk or spatula to fully combine. The dough should be rather sticky.
  • 3. Sprinkle more baking mix onto a work surface and turn out the dough. Sprinkle the top with more baking mix and turn once, making sure to coat the outside to prevent sticking.
  • 4. Pat with your hands until 1 inch thick. Cut into circles or squares.
  • 5. Melt the butter and pour into a 9×13 pan. Place the biscuits on top of the melted butter.
  • 6. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned on top.

Notes

  • This dough is super sticky. Be patient and sprinkle additional baking mix on top if needed.
  • If you do not have a biscuit cutter you can use a large round glass.
  • These will stay good for up to five days if stored in an airtight container or bag.
