Enjoy peach season all year long with this homemade peaches and cream oatmeal! Ready in under 5 minutes and perfect for fresh or canned peaches! Dare I say this recipe is even BETTER than the pre-made packets!
Combine the peach, water, milk, quick oats, sugar (if using), cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Salt in a medium microwave safe bowl.
Heat for 3 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking.
Carefully remove from the microwave and stir in a small dash of vanilla extract.
Top with additional milk or cream and enjoy.
Notes
Add more or less sugar to taste. If your peaches are sweet and ripe you might not need any sugar. If they are a little less sweet you might need a teaspoon more.
Mix in a handful of blueberries for an even more flavor packed treat!
Try almond milk or coconut milk for a sweet flavor boost.
