Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) ready to bake pizza dough
  • 9 cups water
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon pretzel salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line two baking trays with parchment paper or silicone baking mats and set aside.
  •  Remove the pizza dough from its packaging and press to a 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
  • Cut the dough using a sharp knife, or a pizza cutter, into 1-2″ pieces. Set aside while you prepare the baking soda bath.
  • Add 9 cups of water to a large pot. Stir in 1/2 cup of baking soda. Bring to a boil.
  • Carefully drop the dough pieces into the water and cook for 1 minute. Remove with a slotted spoon, making sure to get off as much excess water as possible, and transfer to a baking tray lined with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  • Cook the pretzel bites for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Brush the warm bread with melted butter and sprinkle with salt.

Notes

Try other toppings like grated parmesan or cinnamon and sugar!
