Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Combine all of the ingredients into the bowl of an electric mixer. Stir until combined with the paddle attachment.
  • Switch to a dough hook and knead for five minutes. If kneading by hand increase that time to ten minutes.
  • Place in a lightly sprayed bowl and cover with a dry clean towel. Let rest for one hour.
  • Divide your dough into 8 equal pieces.
  • Roll each piece into an eight inch circle.
  • Place onto a lined cookie sheet and allow to rest 15 minutes.
  • While the dough is resting preheat your oven to 500 degrees (not a typo).
  • Cook on the bottom level of the oven for 5 minutes. Your bread should have puffed up slightly. If not add an additional minute or two.
  • Transfer to the top rack and cook 2 more minutes.

Notes

This is a high temperature to cook with. Please be extra careful and watch your bread closely.
