Artichoke Dip Topping
1cupartichoke dip
1cupmozzarella cheese
1/2cupbacon crumblesoptional
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Rub this seasoning mix all over the chicken breasts.
Heat olive oil or butter in a oven-proof large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, just until they start to brown. They don’t need to be cooked through at this point.
Remove the pan from the heat and spread a generous layer of artichoke dip over each chicken breast.
Sprinkle the cooked bacon pieces (if using) over the artichoke dip. Layer your chosen cheeses on top.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (reaching an internal temperature of 165°F) and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
