Ingredients

  • 8 mini brownie bites homemade or store bought
  • 8 strawberries tops sliced flat
  • 1/2 cup vanilla frosting or whipped cream

Instructions

  • Place the brownie bites on a flat work surface.
  • Pipe or spoon a small swirl of frosting on top of each one.
  • Trim the stem off each strawberry so the cut side is flat, then gently press the berry into the frosting to form the hat.
  • Add a tiny dollop of frosting to the tip of each strawberry for the pom pom.

Notes

  • Best served fresh: Assemble just before serving so the strawberries stay bright and the frosting holds its shape.
  • Make ahead: Brownie bites can be baked up to 2 days ahead and stored covered at room temperature. Add frosting and strawberries right before serving.
  • Frosting swaps: Whipped cream works, but it softens quickly, so use it only if you’re serving immediately.
  • Storage: Refrigerate assembled hats in a single layer and enjoy within 24 hours.
