Ingredients

  • 24 oz frozen breaded chicken tenders
  • 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls 12 count
  • 8 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 to 1½ cups marinara sauce from a 24 oz jar
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Bake the chicken tenders according to package directions until crispy.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Slice the rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Lay 6 slices of cheese over the rolls. Tear the remaining 2 slices to fill in gaps for even coverage.
  • Spoon a light layer of marinara over the cheese.
  • Add the cooked chicken tenders, then spoon another thin layer of marinara over the top.
  • Place the top half of the rolls on the sliders.
  • Stir together the melted butter, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Brush evenly over the rolls and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 to 17 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden.
  • Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
