Ingredients

  • 1 (13.25oz) box chocolate cake mix dry
  • 1 (5.1oz) chocolate pudding mix dry
  • cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish lightly with some butter or non-stick baking spray.
  • Pour the dry cake mix evenly into the greased pan.
  • Sprinkle the dry pudding mix directly over the dry cake mix. 
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the dry ingredients. Add the milk and give it a good stir right in the baking pan. Once the cake starts to look more like a batter you can spread it into an even layer. 
  • Sprinkle a generous amount of chocolate chips over the top of the cake. 
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.  
  • Serve warm for a melt-in-your-mouth experience or at room temperature for a handheld treat.
