Instructions
Add the tequila, orange liqueur, and limeade to your blender.
Top with fresh or frozen berries.
Add 1 to 2 cups of ice.
Pulse or blend for 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on the power of your blender.
Enjoy with fresh fruit garnishes or a sugared glass rim.
Notes
If using fresh berries you may need to add a touch of sugar to help sweeten the drink.
We do not thaw our strawberries before adding to our blender. They tend to already be slightly soft and mix in easily.
For a thicker margarita add more ice. If you like yours thinner add slightly less. You can also opt to leave the ice out altogether.
For a stronger drink, cut the amount of berries in half or add an additional 1-1/2 oz. of tequila and 1/2 oz. of triple sec.
This recipe is simple to customize. Swap the berries for whatever fruit you have on hand. We especially love mango or pineapple.
