Crockpot Salisbury Steak with Hamburger Patties
This easy Crockpot Salisbury Steak turns simple hamburger patties into a hearty comfort food dinner with rich onion gravy. Made with just 5 ingredients and minimal prep, it's perfect for busy weeknights and works with fresh or frozen patties.

1½ pounds ground beef 80/20 recommended 1 tablespoon beef seasoning 1 12-ounce jar beef gravy 1 10.5-ounce can cream of mushroom soup 1 1-ounce packet onion soup mix 1 teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon black pepper
Lightly coat a 5 to 6 quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
Place the ground beef in a mixing bowl. Add the beef seasoning and gently mix just until combined. Shape into 5 large or 6 smaller patties.
Arrange the patties in the bottom of the slow cooker.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef gravy, cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the patties, making sure they are mostly covered.
Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours, or until the patties reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
Serve hot over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice with plenty of gravy spooned over the top.
For the most tender patties:
Use 80/20 ground beef whenever possible.
Avoid overmixing the meat.
Start checking for doneness at the 4-hour mark to prevent overcooking.
Using frozen hamburger patties:
Frozen patties can be used in place of fresh.
Add 1 to 2 hours of cooking time.
Verify the patties reach 160°F before serving.
