Ingredients

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 30 to 40 frozen cooked meatballs
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

  • In the slow cooker, whisk together the beef broth, heavy cream, and au jus gravy mix until smooth.
  • Add the frozen meatballs and gently stir to coat.
  • Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours, or until the meatballs are hot throughout.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, whisk together the cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Stir the slurry into the slow cooker, cover, and continue cooking until the gravy has thickened.
  • Stir in the sour cream just before serving.
  • Serve over egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice with a sprinkle of fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Keep the meatballs frozen. There's no need to thaw them before adding them to the slow cooker.
