Set the oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature is key for getting a nice, crispy texture.
Spread the frozen broccoli florets in a single layer on a baking sheet. There’s no need to thaw them first!
Drizzle with oil (about 1 to 2 tablespoons should do it). Then, season to your liking. A simple mix of salt, pepper, and garlic powder works wonders, but feel free to experiment with other spices and herbs.
Give the broccoli a good toss to ensure it’s evenly coated with oil and seasonings.
Pop the baking sheet in the oven and roast for about 20 to 25 minutes. Halfway through, give the florets a stir or a shake for even cooking and browning. You’re aiming for edges that are crispy and slightly browned. The broccoli should be tender but not mushy.
Remove from the oven, maybe give it a final sprinkle of seasonings or a squeeze of lemon juice, and voila! Your oven-roasted frozen broccoli is ready to enjoy.
Notes
You can substitute fresh broccoli. Wash, cut, and cook as directed. Start checking around 15 minutes.
Adjust the seasonings to your preference. I like a little more garlic.
You can mix all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl vs the tray- if you are ok with one more dish.
