Thank you California Raisins for sponsoring this post. California Raisins are the perfectly natural, and naturally sweet back-to-school snack!
cereal-raisin-clustersMy little guy isn’t so little any more. He just started Kindergarten and my heart is a slightly broken. I miss my shadow and kitchen buddy. The good news is that he is smitten with his teacher and new friends. I can honestly say I’ve never seen a kid more excited to get up and going in the morning. The three hours learning and chasing girls really works up his appetite.  One of our favorite new treats are these cereal raisin clusters!

cereal-clustersThis recipe is perfect if you want to get your kids involved in the kitchen. All you really need to do is stir and their little hands were just made to hold a spatula. Dax was thrilled to be in charge of adding the dry ingredients and making sure they were fully combined.  He even managed to keep most of the cereal inside the bowl!

I have always been a big fan of the naturally sweetness of California Raisins. Dax can eat them by the hand full so it was an easy choice for me to stir them into this recipe. Since they are all-natural, dried-by-the-sun fruit you can feel good about sending with your kids as they head back to school or offering as an after-school snack. We always have a box or two stashed in our car for starving littles.
