This recipe makes A LOT of sauce. For a family of three that can be a bit of a waste. Fear not! I have come up with the perfect solution. If you find you will not be able to finish all of the sauce you can freeze it! Follow the simple directions below and enjoy your pasta sauce later.

How to freeze homemade pasta sauce:

  1. Allow your sauce to cool after cooking.
  2. Spoon into gallon sized zip top bags.
  3. Place in the freezer and allow to freeze until solid.

That’s it! Can you believe how simple the process is? You can keep it in your freezer for 4 to 6 months if it is stored properly. When you are ready to cook simply heat in a sauce pan until the sauce reaches a boil.
