Caesar Salad Wrap Ingredients

Make sure you have the ingredients for these chicken caesar salad wraps on hand always because it’s a simple way to load up your belly with deliciousness. Let’s breakdown what you need and some substitutions.

  • Chicken: You can use your favorite cooked chicken breasts, leftover chicken, rotisserie chicken, or your favorite frozen chicken option. We like Just Bare chicken that’s cooked in our air fryer.
  • Lettuce: I like the crunch of romaine lettuce, but you can really use any variety. To save even more time you can grab a bag of chopped crunchy lettuce.
  • Parmesan Cheese: This cheese offers a nutty, sharp kick that balances the tanginess of the Caesar dressing.
  • Croutons: My favorite secret ingredient. I lightly crush croutons and sprinkle them into the filling before rolling my wrap. It adds texture and some delicious flavor. For this one, you can use store-bought or homemade croutons. Both are equally delicious.
  • Dressing: creamy, tangy, with a hit of garlic and a whisper of anchovy. Yes, anchovy! Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it; it gives the dressing that irreplaceable umami oomph. You can use a homemade dressing, which is a game-changer, but if you’re in a pinch, there are some pretty solid store-bought options that won’t disgrace your greens. Just look for one where you can actually pronounce the ingredients
  • Tortillas: Large flour tortillas are key to packing in all of the salad goodness. Be sure to stick with a soft flour tortilla vs corn. They fold nicer and hold up with the hearty filling.
  • Optional: Top your salad with a squeeze of lemon juice, sprinkle of garlic powder and black pepper, or load up the veggies with some cherry tomatoes.

Delicious Chicken Caesar Wrap Recipe

  1. PREP: Cook the chicken strips according to the package directions, or chop precooked chicken if you are using leftovers or rotisserie.
  2. CHOP: Allow the chicken to cool for a few minutes and then chop into small pieces.
  3. TOSS: Add the chopped chicken, lettuce, cheese, crouton crumbles, and dressing into a large bowl. Add tomatoes or other vegetables if using. Toss gently to combine until the dressing is coating most of the filling.
  4. ROLL: Spread 1/4 of the mixture onto the center of a large tortilla. Leave about 2 inches empty around the edge for folding freedom. Fold in the sides of the tortilla toward the center but not all the way over the ingredients. Now, take the edge closest to you and fold it over the tucked-in sides and ingredients, squeezing everything together like you’re giving it a lil’ hug. Hold everything in place while you roll the wrap away from you, towards the remaining open edge. Apply gentle pressure to make sure it’s snug but not smothered.
  5. ENJOY: Enjoy your wrap!

Helpful Tools

  • Large Mixing Bowl (affiliate): Big enough to toss all your ingredients without turning your kitchen into a salad battlefield.
  • Cheese Grater (affiliate): For fresh Parmesan flurries that will make your wrap the talk of the town.
  • Sharp Knife (affiliate): For slicing your chicken into perfect, bite-sized morsels.
  • Cutting Board (affiliate): A sturdy one will do. You need a stage for all this chopping action.
  • Measuring Cups & Spoons (affiliate): Because, hey, even culinary rebels need to measure sometimes.

Recipe Notes:

What is the best type of chicken to use?

I like to use frozen chicken tenders in these easy chicken caesar wraps. However, rotisserie chicken or leftover grilled chicken work like a charm. Just make sure to warm it up a bit before assembling your wrap.

What kind of tortillas should I use?

Flour tortillas are the usual go-to, but feel free to get adventurous with whole wheat tortillas, spinach, or even gluten-free options.

Can I make these wraps in advance?

You can prep the individual components ahead of time, but for the best texture, assemble your wraps when you’re ready to eat or serve.

Can I add other ingredients?

Go wild! Avocado, bacon, or even some sliced jalapeños can add an extra oomph to your wrap.

What’s the best way to store leftovers?

Keep your components separate and assemble when you’re ready to chow down. This keeps your wraps from getting soggy.
