Ingredient’s You’ll Need
This easy turkey wrap comes together with fresh, simple ingredients that pack a punch of flavor. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Cream Cheese: The secret ingredient! Regular or chive-flavored cream cheese adds a creamy, tangy base that holds everything together.
- Dijon Mustard: A step up from classic yellow mustard, Dijon brings a rich, slightly tangy depth to the wrap.
- Tortillas: Any tortilla works, but we love homemade or spinach tortillas for an extra boost of flavor.
- Lettuce: Romaine adds crunch and freshness, though iceberg works too.
- Turkey: Deli-sliced turkey is ideal—Boar’s Head is a personal favorite for its great taste and variety.
- Swiss Cheese: Prefer cheddar? Go for it! Any cheese will work.
- Tomato: Fresh, on-the-vine tomatoes offer the best flavor, especially when they’re in season.
- Avocado: Slightly firm avocados are best—they hold their shape and add a creamy texture.
- Bacon: Thick-cut and oven-baked for the crispiest, easiest prep.
- Salt & Pepper: A sprinkle of seasoning brings everything together.
This turkey wrap recipe is super customizable—swap ingredients to fit your taste and enjoy a quick, delicious meal any time of the day!

Storage and Make-Ahead Instructions
This turkey wrap is perfect for meal prep! Follow these tips to keep it fresh:
- Make Ahead: Assemble the wrap up to 12 hours in advance for the best texture. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or foil to prevent drying out.
- Prevent Sogginess: If storing longer, keep wet ingredients separate (like tomatoes or avocado) and add them just before eating.
- Refrigeration: Store wrapped in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours for the best taste and texture.
- Packing for Lunch: Use an ice pack to keep the wrap fresh in a lunchbox. Small containers of sauce on the side help prevent sogginess.
- Reheating (Optional): If you prefer a warm wrap, heat it in a pan for 1-2 minutes per side or in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
These tips make it easy to enjoy a fresh, delicious turkey wrap anytime!
Turkey Wrap Sauce
If you are anything like me, sauce is king. This recipe doesn’t really NEED it, but boy-oh-boy does it taste delicious with a dip! We even own these little condiment containers (affiliate) for packing sauce in lunchboxes! Here are a few suggestions on what to use as a sauce for your wraps:
- Ranch Dressing: A classic that never goes out of style.
- Fry Sauce: This recipe from my friend Like Mother Like Daughter is a staple in our home.
- Southwest Sauce: You can find southwest sauce with the other dressings in most grocery stores. It is delicious!
Tips for Success:
Warm the Tortilla: Microwave for 7-10 seconds before assembling to make it more flexible and prevent tearing.
Spread Evenly: Keep the cream cheese mixture about ¼ inch from the edges to avoid overflow when rolling.
Layer Smart: Place lettuce first to create a barrier and keep the tortilla from getting soggy.
Roll it Tight: Fold in the sides first, then roll from the bottom up, keeping it snug to hold everything in place.
Use Fresh Ingredients: Crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and a slightly firm avocado make all the difference.
Make it Ahead: Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and store in the fridge for up to 12 hours—perfect for meal prep!
Keep it from Getting Soggy: If making ahead, pack wet ingredients separately (like tomatoes or sauces) and add just before eating.
Crisp it Up: For a crunchy twist, lightly toast the wrap in a skillet for 1-2 minutes per side.

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the tortilla first to create a moisture barrier. Also, place lettuce down before other ingredients and avoid overloading with wet toppings like tomatoes or dressing if making ahead.
Any flour tortilla works well since it’s soft and flexible. If you prefer a healthier option, try whole wheat, spinach, or sun-dried tomato wraps. For a low-carb version, use a lettuce wrap instead.
Absolutely! Try grilled chicken, ham, roast beef, or even crispy bacon. You can also make it vegetarian by adding hummus, grilled veggies, or extra cheese.
Warm the tortilla for 7-10 seconds in the microwave, spread fillings evenly, and don’t overstuff. Fold in the sides first, then roll from the bottom up tightly to keep everything secure.
