Why You’ll Love This Chicken Wrap
- Prep Ahead: The filling for this recipe can be made up to three days in advance!
- Easy to Customize: Play with different proteins, add your favorite veggies, or swap out the cheese for a different variety!
- Serve Cold or Warm: This recipe is amazing as-is, but if you want to make this more of a hot dish you can grill your wrap on a hot pan!
I’m always on the hunt for a really good lunch or quick dinner idea. I like recipes that are super quick and easy, but also keep you full for hours. These wraps check all of the boxes. The filling can be prepped in advance, uses leftover (or rotisserie) chicken, and hits a home run in the flavor department.
The chicken provides a savory and juicy element, while the bacon adds a smoky and crispy note. The ranch dressing brings a creamy and tangy taste, which complements the other ingredients perfectly. Together, these flavors create a savory, slightly salty, and satisfying profile that is loved by many.
Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps Ingredients
From start to finish, this recipe took me less than 10 minutes to prep! That’s thanks to the use of pre cooked chicken and bacon. Here is what you need:
- Chicken: If you’ve never taken advantage of the $5 rotisserie at Costco, this is your sign. It makes for the perfect filling for chicken salad, burrito bowls, and wraps! Alternatively, you can use grilled or baked chicken.
- Bacon: I like to cook my bacon in the oven. Perfectly crisp with every single bite!
- Cheese: We’ve made this with pepper jack, cheddar, monterey jack, and swiss with delicious results!
- Green Onion: Did you know that you can actually keep green onion stored in a glass jar with water and they will regrow for weeks? Place them in a well lit area, like a window sill, and replace the water weekly.
- Ranch Dressing: This is where you can get pretty creative. Use store bought, homemade, classic, spicy, or even cilantro lime ranch dressing for different flavor profiles!
- Vegetables: We love to add tomatoes or diced avocado.
- Lettuce: Lettuce provides a delightful crunch that takes these from good to great!
- Tortillas: When it comes to choosing the best tortillas for a wrap, it ultimately depends on personal preference. We tested this recipe dozens of times with flour, low carb, whole wheat, and spinach tortillas. All equally delicious.

- MIX: Place the roughly chopped chicken, bacon, cheese, green onion, and ranch dressing in a mixing bowl. Gently toss to combine and coat everything with the dressing.
- STORE: From here, you can cover and keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. OR you can start to make your wrap.
- WRAP: Lay a large, or burrito sized, tortilla on a clean work surface. Place a cleaned lettuce leave onto the middle of the tortilla. Top with half of the chicken mixture.
- ROLL: Tightly roll the filling into the center of the tortilla, like you would roll a burrito. Cut in half and enjoy.
Should Wraps Be Served Hot Or Cold?
Wraps can be served either hot or cold, depending on personal preference and the specific recipe.
Ultimately, the choice between serving a wrap hot or cold depends on the flavors and textures you desire. Some wraps, like Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps, can be enjoyed both ways, offering versatility for different preferences.
