Fruit Punch Cocktail

This fruit punch cocktail has been my go-to summer drink for years, especially when I need something quick, refreshing, and guaranteed to be a hit. It’s one of those recipes I’ve mixed up more times than I can count, tweaking the balance until it’s just right, sweet, citrusy, and dangerously easy to sip.

Why You’ll Love This Fruity Cocktail

  • Dangerously Delicious: You cannot taste the liquor in this. It tastes light a light and refreshing punch. Please drink responsibly (adding this in a second time because it really is THAT good).
  • Easy to Adjust Servings: I’ve included how to make this into a pitcher size for parties.
  • Party Perfect: This drink is honestly my new go-to for summer. It’s so simple, uses minimal ingredients, and tastes amazing.

This is one of those cocktails I’ve been making for years because it just works. It’s the one I pull out when people are coming over and I want something that feels fun without a lot of effort. It’s fruity, a little citrusy, and way too easy to sip, which is probably why it disappears so fast every single time.

I’ve made this enough to know exactly how to tweak it depending on what I have on hand, and it’s honestly hard to mess up. Shake up one for yourself or make a pitcher for a group, it always turns out. If you want a reliable, easy cocktail that still feels a little special, this is the one I keep coming back to.

Fruit Punch Cocktail Ingredients

You only need a handful of ingredients to make this drink, but using good-quality juice and a vodka you like makes all the difference. Since the flavors are simple, each one really shows up in the final drink.

  • Cherry vodka: Adds a subtle sweetness and that classic fruit punch vibe. If you can’t find it, regular vodka plus a splash of cherry juice works just fine.
  • Orange vodka: Brings a bright citrus note that balances the sweetness. You can swap for plain vodka if needed.
  • Pineapple juice: Gives the drink its tropical base. Look for 100% juice for the best flavor.
  • Orange juice: Adds freshness and a little tang. Fresh-squeezed is great, but store-bought works perfectly.
  • Grenadine: Adds color and a touch of sweetness. Start small and adjust to taste since it can get sweet quickly.

Everything here is easy to find at any grocery store, and you can mix and match based on what you have. Once you’ve got your ingredients, it comes together fast and tastes like something you’d order out.

This never makes it past the first round without someone asking for the recipe. It’s light, fruity, and just strong enough to feel like a cocktail without being overwhelming. I’ve made it for everything from casual summer nights to small get-togethers, and it always ends up being the thing people keep going back for.

Tip from Jesseca:

Chill your juices and vodka ahead of time. It keeps the drink cold without needing a ton of ice, which means you won’t water down that flavor.

How to Make a Pitcher

This is the easiest way to serve a group, and how I make it most often.

Add to a large pitcher:

  • 1 cup cherry vodka
  • 1 cup orange vodka
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • Splash of grenadine
  1. Stir and taste: Give everything a good stir, then taste and adjust. Add more juice to lighten it or a little extra vodka if you want it stronger.
  2. Chill and serve: Refrigerate until cold, then pour over ice when ready to serve.
  3. Optional add-ins: Orange slices, strawberries or maraschino cherries.

It’s simple, flexible, and easy to adjust depending on how many you’re serving.

Tips For The Best Flavor

  • Chill everything first: Cold ingredients mean less ice and better flavor.
  • Start with less grenadine: It’s sweet, so add a little and adjust to taste.
  • Taste before serving: Juices vary, so tweak the balance if needed.
  • Use good-quality juice: 100% juice makes a noticeable difference.
  • Don’t skip the citrus: Orange juice keeps the drink from tasting flat.
  • Add ice right before serving: Prevents the drink from getting watered down.
  • Adjust strength easily: Add more juice to lighten or more vodka to strengthen.
  • Garnish at the end: Fresh fruit looks better and won’t get soggy.
  • Make a test glass first: Helps you dial in the flavor before scaling up.

Helpful Tools

  • Shot Glasses: My sister collects shot glasses from all of her travels. Tall shot glasses (affiliate) are by far our favorite to use.
  • Cocktail Shaker: I don’t mind serving these directly in the glass, but some people really enjoy mixing in a cocktail shaker (affiliate).
  • Jigger: These handy cocktail tools make measuring super quick and easy! I like the Oxo Jigger (affiliate).

It’s a harmonious symphony of flavors that dances on your taste buds like a well-choreographed tango. This punch is so fabulous that it defies the laws of mixology with its simplicity, proving that greatness can indeed be achieved with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz cherry vodka
  • 1 oz orange vodka
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 oz orange juice
  • grenadine

Instructions

  • Chill your glasses and slice some fruit.
  • Add some ice to a shaker and pour in 1 oz of cherry vodka, 1 oz of orange vodka, 3 oz pineapple juice and 2 oz of orange juice and a small pour of grenadine (more or less to taste). Close and shake well.
  • Pour the cocktail into a new glass filled with ice. Add fruit slices and enjoy!

Pitcher Instructions (serves 8-10)

  • Stir together 1 cup of each vodka, 3 cups of pineapple juice, 2 cups of orange juice, and about 1/4 cup grenadine in a large pitcher. Stir.
  • Chill the mixture until you are ready to serve. Fill cups with ice and top off with the punch and fresh fruit pieces.

  • Add more or less grenadine for your preferred sweetness and taste.
