Ingredients You’ll Need
I’m always down for a good punch recipe, and this pineapple drink has officially earned a permanent spot in our summer rotation. It checks all my boxes: bold flavor, minimal ingredients, and total crowd-pleaser status. - Pineapple Juice – Look for a juice with pineapple as the main (or only!) ingredient. I found the perfect-sized container near the grape juice section at my local store.
- Limeade Concentrate – My not-so-secret weapon. Limeade brings a refreshing tang and blends beautifully into almost any summer punch. It’s budget-friendly and always hanging out in my freezer.
- Soda – Sprite, ginger ale, or club soda all work here. Choose based on how sweet or fizzy you want it.
- Fruit – Go fresh or frozen. I love freezing chunks of fresh pineapple to use instead of ice—it chills the drink without watering it down.
Easy, refreshing, and perfect for any warm-weather get-together—this pineapple punch is your new go-to.

Jesseca’s Recipe Review
This tropical punch is everything I want in a summer drink—bright, refreshing, and ridiculously easy to throw together. It’s become our go-to for BBQs, birthdays, and honestly, just hanging out on the patio. My whole family loves it, and I always get asked for the recipe.
Tip from Jesseca:
Use frozen pineapple chunks instead of ice cubes. They chill the punch without watering it down and look extra fun in the glass!
Substitutions and Variations
This pineapple drink is super flexible, which makes it perfect for customizing to your taste or whatever you have on hand. Here are some easy swaps and fun twists to try:
- Swap the juice – No pineapple juice? Mango or orange juice will still give you a tropical vibe.
- Try a different concentrate – Lemonade works great in place of limeade if you want a slightly sweeter flavor.
- Switch the soda – For a less sweet option, use club soda. Want extra fizz and flavor? Go with lemon-lime soda or ginger ale.
- Make it a cocktail – Add rum, vodka, or coconut-flavored liquor for a grown-up version.
- Add herbs – A few sprigs of mint or basil can give it a fresh twist.
- Use different fruit – Frozen grapes, strawberries, or citrus slices work great if you’re out of pineapple.
Don’t be afraid to play around. This is one of those drinks that’s almost impossible to mess up—and always a hit.

How to make Non-Alcoholic Pineapple Punch
This summer punch comes together in minutes—as long as everything is chilled ahead of time. Here’s how we keep it cool and refreshing:
- Chill your ingredients: Pop the juice and soda in the fridge for a few hours before making the punch. Cold ingredients are key!
- Mix the base: In a large pitcher or punch bowl, stir together the pineapple juice and limeade concentrate.
- Add fruit: Toss in fresh fruit like pineapple chunks, orange slices, or lime rounds.
- Add soda and serve: Pour in the cold soda right before serving for that fizzy finish.
That’s it—super simple, big flavor, and perfect for your next party, BBQ, or lazy afternoon on the patio.
Expert Tips
- Chill everything ahead of time – Cold juice and soda keep the punch refreshing and fizzy. Never pour warm soda into a punch bowl unless you’re aiming for flat fruit soup.
- Use frozen fruit as ice – Freeze pineapple chunks, orange slices, or grapes and use them in place of ice to chill the drink without watering it down.
- Add soda last – Pour in the soda just before serving to keep that bubbly texture. Stir gently to avoid losing carbonation.
- Taste and adjust – Want it sweeter? Add a splash of simple syrup. Too sweet? A squeeze of fresh lime juice balances it out.
- Make it a cocktail – Turn it into a party punch by adding white rum, coconut rum, or vodka. Just add alcohol after you’ve mixed everything else.
Storage and Make-Ahead Instructions
To make ahead: Mix the pineapple juice and limeade concentrate up to 24 hours in advance and store in the fridge. Keep the soda separate until just before serving to maintain the fizz.
To store leftovers: If you have extra punch (and that’s a big if), pour it into a sealed pitcher or container and refrigerate. It’s best enjoyed within 1–2 days. Just note that the soda will lose some of its bubbles, so give it a stir and add a splash of fresh soda or sparkling water before serving again.
Freezing tip: Freeze leftover punch in ice cube trays and use them in future drinks to keep things cold without watering them down.

Recipe FAQs
Not at all. You can substitute with lemonade concentrate or even a mix of fresh lime juice and simple syrup to taste.
Sprite, ginger ale, and club soda all work well. Use Sprite for a sweeter punch, ginger ale for a little spice, or club soda for a lighter, less-sweet option.
Add a splash (or more) of rum, vodka, or coconut liquor. Start light and adjust to taste!
Of course! Add a few scoops of your favorite sherbet to each glass, or right on top of the punch bowl.
This recipe does great with almost any tropical fruit. We like to use pineapple, oranges, and limes. But you can also use raspberries, mango, or kiwi. Try freezing your fruit to help keep the punch cold without watering down with ice.

Tropical Pineapple Punch
Ingredients
- 1 (12oz) can frozen limeade concentrate (do not add the water)
- 6 cups pineapple juice
- 2 liters Ginger Ale OR Lemon Lime Soda
- Fruit- we like pineapple pieces (orange slices, and lime slices)
Instructions
- Place the pineapple juice, soda, and limeade concentrate in the fridge for at least 4 hours. Cold ingredients keep the punch refreshing and help it stay bubbly longer.
- In a large pitcher or punch bowl, stir together the chilled pineapple juice and limeade concentrate until fully combined.
- Stir in fresh fruit pieces like pineapple chunks, orange slices, or lime rounds. Frozen fruit works too and helps keep the punch cold without watering it down.
- Just before serving, pour the chilled soda over the juice mixture. Give it a gentle stir, serve immediately, and enjoy!

Sorry. I meant 24 8oz servings
Hi Mary, that is actually a great catch. This recipe actually makes closer to 24 to 28 servings. I’ve fixed that error.
this recipe uses 228 oz of liquid, why would you get only 12 8oz servings?
Do you usea 6 or 12 ounce can of limeade? I don’t see it stated anywhere.
Great question, Elaine. I’ll add that into the recipe card. It’s 12 oz.
I did this for a school project
Has anyone used pre-made Limeade like Simply Limeade? I can’t find the frozen concentrate around me anywhere!
How much rum would you add? Would that be in place of something else?
I would love to make this for a bridal tea! Could you add Prosecco to a glass of punch? Like a mimosa?
Prosecco would be a delightful addition. I think I would use less (or none) of the soda if I was serving with a sparkling wine.
can i use lemonade instead of limeade ???
I wouldn’t recommend it for this reicpe.
Could I add pineapple sherbet to this to help keep it cold?
I’ve never tried it, but it would most likely add a creamy finish that is delicious
Could you sub pineapple-mango juice? Or would the mango throw off the flavors?
Hi Kelly, I think that would be a delicious swap.
Did you use the limeade concentrated or add the water as directed on the can?
No need to add water. Just the concentrate.
Can you freeze pineapple juice and frozen lemon or lime aid and add juice when you take out of freezer
Yes, absolutely! You can freeze pineapple juice or lemonade/limeade. I like to leave a little room at the top of the container since liquids expand when frozen. Just thaw in the fridge and give it a good stir before using. It tastes just as fresh!
Delicious! I made it for my daughter and friends as they were getting ready for prom. It was a hit!
Awesome! I’m so glad it worked out well, Stacy! I hope they had a wonderful prom.
plan to make it, how many 6 to 8 oz servings would it yield??
You should get about 15-16 6 oz servings and 12 8 oz servings.
Are the serving sizes backwards? Why would you get fewer 6 oz servings?
Good catch, Pat. Thanks for pointing that out. I’ve updated those.
Served this last week at a bridal tea. Everyone loved it.
Hi Sandra, thank you so much for taking the time to rate my recipe. I’m glad it worked out for your bridal tea!
