How to make chocolate dipped pretzels:

  1. Melt white chocolate in a medium bowl. Stir in a little shortening to help thin out the chocolate.
  2. Add shifted cake mix (the powder) to the chocolate. Stir until no lumps remain.
  3. Dip your pretzels, making sure to tap off any excess.
  4. Transfer to a sheet of wax paper.

  1. Will the cake mix not change the color of the chocolate?

    1. Great question! Using yellow cake mix can give the chocolate a slightly warmer tint, but it shouldn’t change the color too much. It still sets up nice and smooth. If you’d like it to keep that crisp white you can use a white cake mix.
