Easy Orange Blossom

Right about now I am starting to think of some great Christmas day recipes… I want something special for breakfast, but I also want it to be quick and taste amazing. That is where this easy orange blossom comes to play…

It is SO SO simple, takes just a few seconds put together, and is a real show stopper. Seriously… It’s beautiful… See for yourself:

Orange-rolls

Pretty right?? And it tastes divine. After a quick prep you let this baby rise while you are opening gifts then toss it in the oven when you are about ready to eat. The smell of orange will fill your home and the pull apart is always a crown favorite. Especially with the little ones.

Start with you base ingredients:

6 Texas White Rolls, thawed but still cold (I use Rhodes rolls)
3/4 cup sugar
Zest of one large orange
1/4 cup salted butter, melted

Start by using a fork to whisk and mash your orange zest into your sugar. This should produce an amazingly fragrant scrub sugar type of thing.

Cut each of your rolls into four equal pieces. Working with one at a time… Start flattening each piece. Dip into butter followed by a quick roll in the sugar mixture. Place in a 9 inch pie pan in a layered circle. Kind of like this. Already looking amazing, right? Cover your flower and let it double in size.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and cook for 25 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Sweet-orange-rolls

Now, you could cool this and create a glaze to top it off if you’d like. We’ve found that it’s plenty sweet all on it’s own and slightly addicting. It is very possible that I ate over half of this one all on my own and forced my husband to finish it off. And by force I mean forgot to hide it before he got home! So now that you know how easy it is to create this impressive sweet treat, get baking and give your seasonal guests some food to talk about!
