This Cinnamon Honey Butter Recipe comes together in just 5-minutes and uses only 3-ingredients! A perfect copycat Texas Roadhouse Butter that tastes great on rolls, toast, muffins and more!
Recipe Features:
- Quick and Easy: In just five minutes this recipe is ready!
- 3-Ingredient: This recipe is SO easy. You only need 3 simple ingredients and five minutes of your time. The best part? You probably already have all of the ingredients in your pantry or refrigerator!
- Copycat Recipe: To give you a good flavor comparison, this recipe tastes EXACTLY like the spread you get at Texas Roadhouse. I could eat this with a spoon.
Here’s the deal. This copycat texas roadhouse butter is even BETTER than the original. It is the perfect sweet spread to almost any food and takes any meal to the next level. A rich blend of honey, butter and cinnamon makes it an ideal topping for fresh baked cornbread, gingerbread pancakes, banana bread waffles, and so much more. The possibilities are endless.
I’ll be the first to admit, there have been times when I whipped up a batch of cornbread just so I could slather it in this sweet butter. Nothing quite compares to that bite that the perfect balance of warm bread and a perfect dollop of melted cinnamon butter. It is divine.
Texas Roadhouse Butter Ingredients:
The great thing about this recipe is that it only calls for three ingredients- all three of which are pantry staples. You can make this in advance and it is a big show stopper on the table. Minimal effort with a big flavor? I consider that a win! Here is what you will need to get started:
- Butter: Here’s the biggest tip I can give you. Use salted butter. The added salt helps to enhance the sweetness from the honey and the slight spice of the cinnamon. It helps blend everything together in a harmonious flavor bite. If you opt for unsalted I suggest adding a pinch of salt to the recipe.
- Cinnamon: Ground cinnamon, which I happen to buy in bulk at Costco, is what you’ll want to use.
- Honey: I buy the bigger honey containers from Costco, but have also been known to use local raw honey with equally delicious results. In a pinch you could also try maple syrup, although this would give you more of a maple flavor vs the sweet honey.
Tip: I have seen many many recipes add powdered sugar to their Texas Roadhouse butter recipe. I have experimented with and without, and see no need for the added sweetness.
How do you make Cinnamon Honey Butter?
Two steps and five minutes. That is all you need to make this simple condiment.
- Add the butter to a medium mixing bowl.
- Beat with a hand mixer, or by hand with a spatula, for 1-2 minutes or until it starts to look more “whipped.”
- Scrape the sides of the bowl to move all of the butter towards the center.
- Add the honey and cinnamon.
- Mix until fully incorporated, another 1 to 2 minutes.
- Serve with your favorite breads or treats.
Tips for the Best Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Butter
- Butter: Make sure the butter is room temperature. Leaving it out of the refrigerator for 20 minutes or more will help you start with a soft butter- which means the honey can mix in evenly.
- Want to make this a dairy free cinnamon butter? Opt for a vegan butter option like Earth’s Balance in place of the butter.
This copycat texas roadhouse butter tastes amazing on almost anything and everything. Yes. Cinnamon butter should be refrigerated. If you place your homemade sweet butter in an airtight container, and keep it stored in the refrigerator, it will last roughly 1 month.
This recipe makes a fantastic gift as well! Whip up a double batch, place in a mason jar, label, and give! Perfect for holidays, neighbor gifts, to go along with a homemade dinner, or any other occasion.
When stored properly, this recipe will last 1 month. While butter typically has a 6 month shelf life, the addition of honey and cinnamon add a shorter timeline.

Is there an actual recipe in there somewhere? I’ve dodged the excessive ads three times, but nowhere do I find how much butter, how much honey, or how much cinnamon! You call this a recipe?!
Jesseca says
Hi there Kim, sounds like you’re not having a great day and could use a little kindness. I’ll help you figure out how to find the recipe. At the top of the post there is a “JUMP” button that takes you straight to the recipe card so you don’t have to deal with scrolling, even though scrolling is what helps me keep these recipes free. The recipe card is located at the bottom of the post, which is actually filled with all kinds of helpful information and not written without purpose. The full recipe and measurements is in that card. It’s even printable.
Hope this helps and I hope that maybe in the future you could extend a little kindness to others before posting a negative rating (without actually trying the recipe). I make myself available to help anyone that is struggling with a recipe, or my site, and am always happy to help.

you have to look

I didn’t like it at all. Way too much honey. I tried this recipe because my sister wanted something more like texas road house has, this wasn’t it. I like it made with marshmallow cream and powdered sugar, sooo much better.
Jesseca says
Fair enough. However, this recipe is a very traditional honey butter. You could always decrease the amount of honey added if you found it too sweet. I make this for all of our big family dinners and food deliveries. This is the first complaint about it not having marshmallow creme.
Paula says
then it’s not honey butter

I love Cinnamon Honey Butter! Reminds me of when my family would go to Chuck-A-Rama and eat until we could eat no more. Great memories. I bet this tastes even better than the stuff at Chuck’s!
Jesseca says
I love when a recipe is tied into a personal experience! I’ve never been to Chuck-a-rama, but I’m going to guess it’s just as good!

Oh dear. Is it wrong to eat plain butter? Yes? I guess I will have to make rolls too.
Jesseca says
My theory is that if no one see’s you… it didn’t happen. Right?
