Easy Dutch Oven Ham

Here is another great camping recipe. There is basically NO prep work. Which I believe is something most campers try to consider while getting recipes together for their trip!

You start with a Precooked Ham. Probably already frozen. Line your Dutch oven with foil, and plop that ham right inside.

Camping Food: Cheesy Dutch Oven Potatoes

Cheese, bacon, and potatoes.

Best combination ever, right?

So when we were camping last weekend and my in-laws said they were making cheesy dutch oven potatoes to go with our Sunday night dinner, I responded with a, “WHA?!?!?!”

I had to see how they put this together !

Camping With Toddlers- Round Two

Last year I wrote a post on How to Survive a Weekend Camping with a Toddler. It was HUGE. Actually… that doesn’t even begin to describe it. To this day it is my number one post. The best part is that all of YOU left amazing tips and advice in the comments section. So when we packed up for our camping trip last weekend I read through all of your great advice and decided to feature YOU.

Camping Food: A List

SO, while I have provided you with some fun options when it comes to camping food, I wanted to provide something more. I got together with my awesome husband, and we’ve put together a master list containing numerous options when it comes to camping breakfast, lunch, and dinners! I hope this will help inspire some of you!

BREAKFAST:

>Pancakes {Get all of the prep work done in advance, and store your batter in giant Ziplocs. Talk about easy clean up!}
> Granola & Yogurt
> Fruit Salad
> Cereal {such a good ol’ stand by!}
>Oatmeal {instant works best}
> Eggs In A Bag
> Breakfast Sandwich
> Breakfast Burrito’s
> Rhodes Roll Scones
> Bagels

LUNCH/DINNER:

> Walking Tacos { a personal favorite!}
> Tin Foil Dinners
> Quick Pork Chops
> Kabobs
> PB&J
> Wraps
> Pita Pizzas
>Hot Dogs
> Chili
> Chili Dogs {Just had to throw that in}
> Pasta Salad

SIDES:

> Potato salad
> Chips
> Fruit {You could even get creative and do fruit kabobs}
> Frozen veggies
> Dutch Oven Fries
> Trail Mix
> Rhodes Rolls On A Stick {I first heard of this from Stacie over at The Potter’s place… haven’t tried it, but doesn’t it sound fun??}

I’d love for YOU to add to our list. That’s why I’ve decided to start a link party, and leave it open for the NEXT 7 days!! So submit, submit, submit! The more people we get to participate, the easier it will be to throw a menu together the next time you’re headed to the great outdoors!
