Hands down, this is the easiest way to make fudge. If you’re new to the world of candy making, or a candy pro, this recipe is about to become a favorite. Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Ingredients
I have so many of these easy fudge recipes on my site. If we had to pick a winner? This peanut butter chocolate fudge trumps them all! The creamy taste of peanut butter and chocolate wins every time. Here are the simple ingredients you will need to get started:
- Peanut Butter Chips: These can be found in the baking aisle of most grocers. The spot where they keep the semi sweet chips will have a few additional flavors. If you’re lucky you’ll find an off brand, but there will almost always be the Reese’s version.
- Canned Frosting: Ready for a secret? You can use chocolate OR vanilla frosting! We personally love the taste of chocolate and peanut butter, but this one simple swap will give you a bold peanut butter fudge that is out-of-this-world.
Fudge Mix-In Ideas
While this recipe is absolutely delicious all on it’s own, you can always add in some extra goodness with a handful of the following:
- Reese’s Pieces
- Chopped Nuts
- Sprinkles
- Butterscotch Chips

How to Make 2-Ingredient Peanut Butter Fudge
Remember that all of my fudge recipes are less than three ingredients. That makes this recipe perfect to use these as neighbor gifts or party trays. Instead of slaving away over the stove making a million cookies (which I totally do every year) you can whip up four or five varieties in under an hour and really “wow” people with your display of fudge goodness.
- Line an 8×8 square pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- Place the peanut butter chips in a glass mixing bowl.
- Heat for 30 seconds. Stir well.
- Continue heating in 15 second intervals, being sure to stir well in between, until the chips are melted and smooth.
- Fold in the chocolate frosting until it is fully incorporated.
- Spread into the prepared dish and refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
Pro Tip: Use binder clips to hold the parchment in place while you spread the fudge.
Tips and FAQs
Yes. Freezing fudge is incredibly simple. Wrap the fudge in plastic wrap and place into a labeled freezer zip top bag. Pull it out whenever you are ready to serve and allow it to come to room temperature.
Finding it difficult to spread the fudge? Microwave it for 20 to 30 seconds while the frosting and melted chocolate is still in the mixing bowl. This will thin it out slightly making it easier to transfer and spread.

Ok to add nuts.

Hello, Ruth! I have never added nuts so I couldn’t answer with certainty. I would roughly chop them and fold them in when you fold in the frosting.
